There are many venues in the UK that are synonymous with sports travel, such as Old Trafford for football and cricket, Wembley Stadium for pretty much every sport and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium for football and rugby events. However there are few venues in the UK that can rival the Manchester Evening News Arena for such a wide variety of different sporting events.

The MEN is a gigantic indoor arena in Manchester that plays host to such an array of different sporting events, than any sports fan would find something taking place there to interest them.

One of the more popular events to take place at the Manchester Evening News Arena is wrestling from the WWE. Wrestling is a big business in the USA, and at least once a year the Superstars from the WWE travel to Manchester to perform for the UK crowd in either their Raw or SmackDown! events. Fans can see their idols, such as Triple H and John Cena, up close and personal without having to travel to the United States.

Another US favourite to take place at the MEN is Monster Truck racing. This larger than life sports event sees some of the legendary US monster trucks, such as ‘Bigfoot’ and ‘Gravedigger’, crushing a collection of cars live in the arena. Few venues are even large enough to accommodate such an event in the UK, and the Manchester Evening News Arena is one of them.

Other sports events often held at the MEN include boxing, where Manchester favourite Ricky Hatton has often fought for world titles.

Of course it’s not just sports travel events that makes the MEN Arena such a popular destination. The venue is also used for many concerts, ranging from pop music acts such as the X-Factor tour, to rock acts such as Nickelback.

Your stare becomes locked as you observe their great numbers, seventy thousand or more breeding pairs all happily waddling around on their mile square rookery of mud and rock, wearing their tidily pressed tuxedos.

Few sights create such awe as seeing them slip and slide around in their vast numbers on their small, mud splattered rookery, with their impeccable tuxedos neatly adorned. You cannot help but be amazed at the site of them all, seventy thousand breeding pairs, happily sliding about on the ice, rock and mud of their mile square rookery, neatly pressed out in their snug fitted tuxedos.

Protecting their chicks from the threat of a skua or seal, they preen as they dismiss any uninvited neighbor away from their pebble lined nests. The chicks, scramble about and force their beaks into their parents’ mouths for any undigested food.

The parents are constantly feeding their chicks. When the mother returns with fish from the ocean a ritual of pecks and bows happens before the father heads off for his turn in the icy sea.

Penguins actually aren’t really very cute. Penguins are noisy and foul-smelling but fascinating. But they draw large numbers of visitors to Antarctica every year to stand amidst them. The Antarctic’s landscape, vast and frozen really is like the end of the world.

Penguins aren’t Antarctica’s only attraction. There are whales, dolphins, seals, albatross and other sea birds and an astonishingly beautiful land and seascape of icebergs resembling dragons and other mythical creatures and glaciers with spires as tall as those found on the cathedrals of Europe.

The number of people who have been to this exciting place before is smaller than the crowd at a typical football match. Antarctica is like the most wonderful holy place, the best place anyone would want to visit. Getting to this place from where you are is a thrilling experience in itself. The fascinating nature of this trip makes us forget the fact that it is indeed a bit costly. Before the sea voyage to Antarctica, tourists from the U.S. need to endure 20 hours of air travel to Ushuaia, Argentina’s southern-most port, or Punta Arenas in Chile, Cape Town in South Africa, or Christchurch in New Zealand. For their onward journey to Antarctica, people can board certified ice-rated ships at any of these ports. Despite the journey lasting several days and the seas being rough, for passengers this is the only option as of now.

The icy shelves around Antarctica are so large that while the visible part of the continent is about the size of the U.S. and Mexico put together, the total area including the shelves is nearly twice much. 70 percent of the Earth?s fresh water lies within this icy mass that has a thickness of two miles and puts a huge amount of pressure on the Earth?s surface.

This cruise season, through February, nine vessels offer various Antarctic itineraries ranging from 10 to 28 days. There is only one ship that carries 400 passengers while all the others are small and carry between 75 and 200 passengers. Rather than enjoyment, the emphasis on these voyages is on learning the nuances of life in Antarctica.

Scientists busy unraveling the mysteries of Antarctica, penguins and their vast rookeries and swathes of seals in their colonies is what awaits passengers when they make landings using zodiac rafts.

The U.S., Argentina, Chile, China, Russia and other parties to the Antarctic Treaty maintain the research stations. As a result of the Antarctic Treaty, participating countries have voluntarily kept Antarctica free of borders, have stayed away from commercial and nuclear activity and are using the place as an environmentally clean laboratory. Tourists are seen as a nuisance by some research stations while at a few places they are most welcome.

At Argentina?s Esperanza station at Hope Bay there is a recreation centre, work areas, a school and a church besides their work areas, all in the form of orange-colored pre-fabricated bungalows and tourists are allowed to wander all over the place. Every living soul, be it scientists, the military personnel, children and even animals, seems to be in harmony with everyone around.

Teniente Marsh station is a base built by Chile on King George?s Island and it has everything from a provisions shop to a restaurant and surprisingly even a post office. Not too far away is China’s Great Wall Station where you can lay your hands on casual wear and curios. The United States’ Palmer Station on Anvers Island is unique in the sense that it allows only certain ships at predetermined times. Visitors are not given permission to enter laboratories and residential quarters.

Fantasy Ski Vacations Peter Gabriel figures large in my ultimate ski fantasy. I’d like to be with Peter as we ski together on Olympus Mons on Mars. I’m not a great skier and Peter Gabriel is just the tip of the awkward iceberg. Maybe, instead skiing, I could be Peter Gabriel’s ‘St Bernard’ bringing a keg of Earl Gray Tea strapped beneath my chin for him. He might even tolerate my getting close to him if I promise not to drool in his tea mug. There are other difficulties to overcome in this fantasy ski holiday, which includes a trip to Mars from tap air Portugal, accommodating scuba tanks, as Mars does not have a breathable atmosphere. So, going for a hike up Olympus Mons, 16.7 miles high, I am left to wonder about my being his ski caddy.

Extreme Skiing Peter Gabriel’s fussy. My tourist fantasy ski vacation is countless years from becoming a reality because Peter can’t decide what to pack for the holiday. Now, there are other ski holidays on earth that scene to be has incredible. These tourist ski holidays are listed on the Internet. In some places you can ski in the morning and sit in the sun on the beach in the afternoon and then hit the chalet club at sunset.

You might also access a ski holiday through your travel agency by asking for ‘extreme skiing.’ For example, a helicopter can take you up to the top of the mountain and let you hop off. Then you’ll ski down – to the base. Now please understand about mountains, with thin to non-existent oxygen at the summit, they are never used for this type of skiing even by the craziest of enthusiasts. For one thing you have a lot of trouble skiing by the over mountaineers and their Sherpa’s.

There are tourists ski holiday packages that include the helicopter chair lift, and a lavish banquet at the base of the mountain. In New Zealand-the garden of Eden of most extreme sports you can put together an extreme ski vacation which includes that trip to New Zealand plus your lodging and your rental car as well as the price of the helicopter and a five course dinner at the top of the mountain. Tourists ski holidays like this one can be located on the Internet, or in special ski print publications. These adventures are very costly. There are more economical ski holidays and use snow cats to take you to the top of more common mountain tops instead of helicopters.

It’s summertime, and you might ask how do Olympic skiers train? Occasionally they ski down wooden slopes into a huge a body of water. That sounds like fun. If you ever want to use the Lake Placid training center in New York as a diving pool, you won’t get it. The center itself is closed to tours. There is Olympic water skiing at Placid beach with powerboats. So much for those tourists who have their eyes set on the Olympics.

One other extreme skiing holiday is the combination of skydiving and skiing. Some daredevils like skydiving and snowboarding. Neither of these has been officially approved as a new extreme sport though it may happen in the future. How about reserving a skydiving holiday, ask the crew to go across amount, and then strapped this snow board to your feet and take off. Who knows, they might let you break out and ski freeform but never on your number one jump. Hey, you never know whether it’ll happen unless you ask.

Luke Pantinger continually pens informative papers on subjects similar to air portugal. His work on tap air portugal are published on his site .

Want to vacation on the beaches of Florida? The area is filled with tons of attractions, but staying in some of the area’s voguish beach hotels will cost you a pretty penny. That’s why now more than ever, vacationers are opting to Rent Florida vacation rentals homes. Florida vacation rentals are an affordable way to vacation with the whole family and cost half of what some hotels on the beach cost. One popular St. Pete Beach Hotel costs an average of $259 a night for 2 beds, and $2,100 for a weeklong stay. And that does not admit taxes.

With more than 26,000 vacation rental homes and condos situated throughout the Orlando area, there’s definitely a property for everyone. Traveling with just you and your spouse? With a family of five? Perhaps with extended family? Don’t worry. There’s a home to accommodate you. The Orlando area is home to theme parks and attractions that offer diverse fun for the entire family. If you’re set on visiting selected attractions, be sure to book a vacation rental in that specific area. Highways like Interstate 4 allow for ultimate gizmo in navigating through the areas of Orlando. Disney attractions are in the Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee area while Universal attractions are in the Orlando/International Drive area.

In the meantime, you can rent a two-bedroom, two-bathroom Florida vacation rentals homes directly on the Gulf for a cost of $1,250 a week out the door, and that’s in-season! You can get an even better deal in the off-season with a St. Pete Beach Condo for $839 a week!

Most Florida vacation rentals and timeshare properties are located in close proximity to restaurants, outdoor recreation, and shopping destinations, which means you won’t have to pay outrageous costs for hotel food or room service. From amply equipped kitchens with modern appliances, home furnishings, DVD/CD players, entertainment centers, video game consoles, in-house washer and dryer, screened-in lanais and patios to spacious floor plans and ample locker and counter space, each vacation rental property offers amenities that are sure to make your stay more pleasurable. Each property also has high-speed Internet so that you can plan your day trips.

Most importantly, cheap Florida villas are in the long run far cheaper than a hotel, and the larger your group or family, the cheaper it is. For example, you can rent a five bedroom house in Florida that will sleep 12 people comfortably for $4,000 for a week. Let’s say that you have twelve people in your group, this will come out to just over $330 per person for the whole week. Some high end hotel rooms can cost this much, and that is per night, not by the week. You also have cookery facilities, separate bedrooms, and many are pet friendly, all that are far better than rental a accepted hotel room. So as you can see, renting Florida villas can be far cheaper than regular lodging.

Find Florida villas and vacation beach rentals. Book vrbo, condo rentals, in Florida, California, Oregon, Hawaii, and more vrbo. Book vacation homes and luxury rental homes by owner and save!

Ecologically, the Red Sea is a magnificent underwater Marine Park of such unique diversity of flora and fauna that it will always remain one of the Underwater Wonders of the World in it’s own right. Had there been no shipwrecks, it would still attract visitors – just as the Great Barrier Reef does in Australia or the Belize Barrier Reef does in the Caribbean, though, it must be said that today’s Diver is far too demanding to settle for Corals and Fishes and as soon as he (or she!) had earned that T shirt which proclaims “Red Sea – Been there – Dived that” it would be time for something different the following year.

It is an undeniable fact, therefore, that it is the incredible ship’s graveyard which attracts Scuba Diving Tourists back to the Red Sea, especially the Egyptian Red Sea, year after year – as though the Divers were made of metal and the ships a veritable magnetic force.

The Gulf of Suez is that narrow strip of water to the north-west of the Red Sea which leads to the Suez Canal and was already a major seaway long before that famous man-made connection with the Mediterranean was ever opened. Time was, when passengers and freight were unloaded at Alexandria and moved overland to Suez before joining a new ship and resuming the journey. Today, of course, they sail right through but, whichever direction they take, it has always been the Gulf of Suez which remains the most treacherous stretch of water of the entire journey.

Today the Red Sea is a highway for many thousands of Freighters, Tankers and even Liners – all using the Suez Canal as they make their way between the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Although this route is much shorter and safer than the 1200 mile alternative round the Cape of Good Hope, they still have to successfully navigate unpredictable currents and shallow Coral Reefs – all of which combine to make the Red Sea one of the most testing stretches of water in the world.

Many have come to grief and today there are ancient shipwrecks and modern – with some that are neither, such as the Carnatic lost in 1869 with the loss of 26 lives, the Dunraven in 1876 and the Ulysses in 1887 – each representing a fascinating insight into tragic and incredible stories from another age of transport and, in the case of the Carnatic, another age of Diving. Then there are the WW2 casualties such as the Thistlegorm and the newly re-discovered Rosalie Moller – to name but two and both lost within 48 hours of each other in 1941. Finally, there is that new breed of “modern” shipwreck such as the Kimon M (1978), the Chrisoula K (1981) and the Giannis D (1983).

With so much to offer – in addition to a welcoming climate, it is easy to understand why this relatively small section of the Red Sea has become so popular with Divers to the extent that the Egyptian north Red Sea is probably the most outstanding centre for Scuba Diving in the world.

Of all the shipwrecks in the entire Red Sea, one vessel sits mast and funnel above all others and that ship is, of course, the SS Thistlegorm. Such is the pulling power of this single shipwreck that she attracts more Divers than any other underwater site – anywhere in the entire world. In fact, the Thistlegorm has consistently remained “The World’s Foremost Diving Attraction” ever since she was re-discovered in the early nineties. After my own very first visit to this vessel, I found myself calling her “The Mighty Thistlegorm!

There are wonderful diving holidays to experience especially Indonesia diving and South Africa diving. To find out more please go to http://www.divingworld.co.uk/.

It’s not without good reason that the Western Cape region of South Africa is one of the most favorite tourist destinations in the world. There’s an unbelievable amount to do and to see in this area. You really need a couple of weeks to do justice to all this region has to offer. Western Cape accommodation can be found in all shapes and sizes, from the basic but functional to luxury establishments catering to the elite of the world.

In this area you will of course find the city of Cape Town, one of the world’s top tourist destinations. This lovely city, with Table Mountain as a backdrop and the Indian and Atlantic Oceans never far away, can keep any holidaymaker occupied for days or weeks, depending on how much time he has available. There are mountains, vineyards, historical sites, characterful waterfront developments with great seafood restaurants and much, much more.

Cape Town is surrounded by a number of historical towns. The nearest one is Stellenbosch with its university and student life. Further afield you will find Paarl and Franschoek and the seaside resorts of the Western and South Western Cape are all within no more than two hour’s drive from the city.

As far as accommodation go, this area is well prepared for the yearly tourist influx. If a five star hotel is your preferred type of accommodation, Cape Town has more than its fair share of world class hotels. You will find them everywhere, from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town to the beach towns of the Western and Southern Cape.

As far as mid-range accommodation is concerned, you only have to do a quick search with your favorite search engine to find a long list of very affordable establishments that offer everything that you are used to at home and more.

If you would like to stay in a place with a slightly more personal atmosphere, try a guest house or bed-and-breakfast. The Western Cape has an abundance of these. In the more upmarket establishments you will find everything that even a boutique hotel normally offers, while the small and informal bed-and-breakfasts offer a cozy and comfortable stay with a highly personal touch.

We all enjoy going on a vacation because it is a wonderful way to relax and take our minds off of work and other of life’s stresses. When our vacation includes flying, we want our flight to be comfortable and enjoyable. The seat we book will play a big part in our comfort. Fortunately, there are things we can do to make sure we get a good seat. Below are a number of tips to choosing the best seat when you book your airline tickets:

1. To book a better seat, make sure you buy your seat early because the closer you get to your flight date, fewer seats will be available. You want to make sure you have a good selection of seats to choose so you should book at least 21 days ahead of your scheduled flight. As well, many booking engines and airline websites provide a seat availability map so you can compare seats to find the best one for your needs.

2. If comfort is more important to you than price, especially if you are on a long flight, don’t make the price the most important factor when booking your seat. If you pay a little more for your airfare ticket, you can get features and services that make your flight more enjoyable. For instance, better seats, power port, and a better entertainment system may cost a bit more, but the flight will be much more comfortable. As well, several airlines will charge extra for a seat with extra legroom. You may also be able to get a more comfortable seat. For instance, you may be able to book a seat in economy with extra legroom for a modest supplementary fee. If you know exactly what seat you want, be specific when you book your flight.

3. If you are looking for more room, book a bulkhead seat. These are the seats located directly behind barriers such as a curtain or wall. Bulkhead seats tend to be roomier, especially the leg room. These seats are often chosen by people with small children and infants where a bassinet is required.

4. It is important to arrive at the airport early or you may lose your seat. As well, when you arrive, confirm your seat when you check in. This will ensure you get your seat, or you may be able to switch to a more comfortable seat. Most airlines will allow you to check in online 24 hours before the scheduled flight. When you arrive at your gate, ask if any new seats have opened up.

5. Seat pitch and width can vary from airline to airline, therefore, you should compare seat pitch and width dimensions. Use an airline website’s seat comparison chart to help you locate the seats with the best pitch and width. Make sure the chart you look at corresponds to your plane type.

One of the main reasons why we go on a vacation is to have fun and relax. When your vacation includes flying, you want to make sure your flight is also enjoyable. Choosing the best seat will help ensure a relaxing and comfortable flight.

Get the flexibility and the best overall travel deals offers with this online airline tickets firm.

Luli Fama bikinis is the result of designers Lourdes and Augusto Hanimian. It is designed and made in Miami, Florida. It is sold at selected retailers around the country and internationally. It brings feminine yet sultry influences into the swimwear industry offering a lifestyle collection of captivating swimsuits and beach accessories designed to meet the fit, quality and style demands of trendsetters.

Lourdes ‘Luli’ was raised in Miami after coming over from Cuba. Augusto her brother-in-law was born in Argentina and came to Miami to work in the fashion industry with his family. They are able to get more vibrant color combinations by purchasing from other countries.

The Luli Fama swimwear sale are inspired by Miami’s mix of cultures and picturesque nature sceneries. They had Latin names for their lines such as Rumba, Pasion and Fiesta en Miami. Cover-ups went from a one-piece to shirts that were the length of a mini-dress. They make the change from sun seeker to party-goers an easy transition.

Many of their designs include pieces of jewelry, each piece is hand crafted by artists from around the world. One of their very complex collections, the Star used Swarovski crystals to accent the garments. The prices range from $120 to $150 but that is not bad, knowing that they use only quality fabric and material to make each piece.

Many of the “facts” in this story are based on Legend and Myth as much of the history of the Motorcycle and it’s Culture was lost in the Great Rebellion of 2057.

Taken from a history book in the year 2095… Motorcycles And The Culture They Inspire 1868-2017

Motorcycles started out as steam engines strapped on to bicycles in 1868. Soon after the gas engine took its place and by the 1900’s there were Motorcycle shops and Dealers all over the World. For awhile, Motorcycle’s were simply used as transportation. In 1907, when Henry Fords, Ford Motor Company, released the Model-T at a price many could afford, the Motorcycle soon went from a necessity to a luxury item.

In the 1940’s, the Motorcycle Culture really took off. An organization called the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) held races and events all over the United States of America. In 1947 the AMA held an event in Hollister California. This event was attended by many of the AMA Racing Teams and Motorcycle Clubs. This event marks the beginning of the separation of Motorcyclists which eventually led to the end of Motorcycling in the year 2017. Newspapers, being what they where in 1947, got a hold of some pictures of Motorcyclists having fun at the event. The press decided to embellish the facts and transformed the story into a torrid tale of Bikers taking over a small town! More negative news stories soon followed. Soon after Hollywood began releasing movies that portrayed Motorcyclists as lawless and evil.

The American Motorcyclist Association, trying to end the bad press, responded by basically saying that the Newspapers had lied and that it was only 1% of the Motorcyclists that caused problems. This resulted in the first ripple in the Unity of the Motorcycle World and the Medias’ hatred of Bikers. Around the same time, the AMA began adding new requirements for motorcycles to be able to race in AMA sanctioned Races. Those whose motorcycles didn’t meet the new AMA requirements started their own Race Leagues. Because the new Race Leagues/Clubs were not AMA sanctioned, they soon became known as Outlaw Race Leagues/Clubs. Although many Bikers raced in both the AMA and Outlaw Leagues, another great separation had begun.

By the late 1960’s, the separation of the Motorcycle Community was becoming more evident. There were now three basic Motorcycle groups. The American Motorcycle Association, Outlaw/ 1%er Clubs(All 1%ers were Outlaws, but not all Outlaws were considered 1%ers) and Independent Riders. Over the years, the AMA continued to grow. In addition to racing, they began to champion Motorcycle Rights and Safety. As time went on, others formed independent groups whose goals were similar to that of the AMA. The inability or outright refusal of these groups to work together with each other, resulted in further separation of the Motorcycle Community and Culture.

In the 1970’s, rifts began to grow between some of the Outlaw/1% Clubs. By the 1990’s, the media had inflated these conflicts into stories that rivaled the tall tales of the old west. These tall tales where ment to invoked fear of the Outlaw/1% Clubs in the public. Everyone was lied to,. They were told to stay away from and fear all Outlaw/1% Clubs. The media began referring to Motorcycle Clubs as Motorcycle Gangs, a term meant to further instill fear into the heart of the Public. Stories and rumors began surfacing, claiming these “Gangs” were ruthless and would kill or maim people for little or no reason at all. By the early 21st Century, every minor conflict between Outlaw/1% Clubs was made into a book, made for TV movie, or docudrama. Titles like “Motorcycle Gang Wars In Your Back Yard” were common. Although real wars, conflicts, and suffering were occurring worldwide, the Corporate owned media chose to report fiction over fact.

In 2010, a conflict between two rival Clubs was captured on Video at a “Biker Build Off” event. The coverage by the media and negative publicity that followed was so overwhelming that in 2011, the United States Government passed a law banning all Outlaw/1% Clubs. In response, the Outlaw/1% Clubs put aside their differences and formed “Bikers United”. The Bikers fought back stating the law was unconstitutional and un-American. Even as late as 2011, Many Americans still clung to the misguided belief that they had rights and lived in a free Nation. The Bikers fought hard and came very close to winning, but without the support of the Motorcycle Rights Groups,The many other Clubs, and the Independent Riders, all of whom had been brainwashed into believing the Outlaw Clubs were criminal organizations, they were defeated.

Many of the Outlaw/1% Clubs tried to stay together. The Clubs went underground, but after many raids and constant Government harassment, they all but disappeared. In 2013, in an effort to ensure that the Outlaw/1% Clubs never returned, the Government decided to outlaw all Motorcycle Clubs and organizations. The AMA, the many Clubs and Motorcycle Rights Organizations United in an effort to battle the Governments oppression. They tried to use many of the same tactics and strategies that the Outlaw/1% Clubs used. Unfortunately, the Government was much smarter and stronger this time around. They had learned many lessons in their fierce battles with the Outlaw/1% Clubs, and they used what they had learned against the united Clubs and Organizations. With no Outlaw/1% Clubs left to assist them and without the support of the Independent Riders, the United Clubs and Organizations were defeated.

In 2015, the Government passed a law that made it illegal to even look like an Outlaw on a Motorcycle. The Independent Riders banned together to try and fight the law, but by this time their numbers were few and there wasn’t anyone left to show them how to fight for their rights. After a brief protest, they too were soundly defeated. In 2017, What was now a “Global Government”, in its infinite wisdom, decided that Motorcycles posed a danger to the public. They passed a law banning the manufacturing of Motorcycle’s and their use! They ordered that all existing Motorcyclesbe destroyed. This brought to an end, the History of Motorcycles. It would take until the year 2093 before anything even close to resembling a Motorcycle reappeared.

As a Historian looking back at the History of Motorcycles and the Culture it created, it amazes me how powerful the Motorcycle Culture could have been had they not let every little thing separate them. Instead of embracing something they all had in common and working together to protect it, they instead let their differences, the media, and the government divide them. By the time the Bikers realized how much they were connected and needed each other, it was too late. Their numbers were certainly sufficient to achieve victory, but their failure to come together as Brothers and Sisters and work for the common good ultimately caused their demise. Had they been victorious, it may have been enough to stop all of the oppression and tyranny that soon followed. History is full of stories just like this one, over and over again. The ones who love and honor Freedom the most are taken down first and the rest soon fall like dominoes. Until the Great Rebellion of 2057, we as a Global Society did not realize how important it was to put aside our differences. It may have taken awhile, but we finally figured it out…Just in time!
